Jim, The only pro of maintaining the 6V that I can imagine would be to preserve the originality of an otherwise original truck. Another reason might be to stubbornly resist change to something newer and better (I'm like that about some things!!). I would never have converted my creampuff '58 Willys wagon and I sold it to a friend/collector who shares that opinion. Your cold Ohio winters certainly take their toll on the 6V system unless its kept in a heated garage. Even though my '53 B4 is and will stay ALMOST original, it does not have the originality of collector value and it will never be "parade material." I'll show no remorse in giving it a superior-functioning and more versatile 12V system. A guy's entitled to bright lights and a decent radio at least! Have fun with it, Bruce
