There is no suggestion in the Braden ad that the gin poles are in any way attached to the Power Wagon. It simply states the winch can be used with gin poles when loading pipe or other materials, and to me that suggests existing gin poles independent from the truck. The winch simply powers the cable line(s) used on the independent gin pole, much like donkey winches were used with separate gin poles to load logs in 1920's-30's logging operations.
If I were to write a novel about winching, my main character would be Derrick Crane.
