Damn, it's too nice to part out for the axles. Price is $2,000. Bed is kind a funky but otherwise the truck is pretty straight and not rusted out in the usual spots. Had a winch originally but that's gone and so is whatever body the Chase Co. made for it...Chase is a new name to me. Was running rough but the seller tells me it ran good until he started up a steep hill. Does sound like bad fuel/moisture. So I ask, what's the title situation and he says, "I can get you one." Nobody in northern CA missing a faded blue '72 W-500 I hope? Price seems oks, I'm feeling poor and don't need another project, but this is the first inexpensive W500 I've seen that wasn't beat to death.

Question: The t-case has an extra yoke on it, looks like it went to an axle behind the single rear axle (regular suspension, not half a bogey or anything like that)...but I don't see anything chopped. Gonna look at it again in better light, but why would there be a yoke on the back of the t-case if there's wasn't another axle in back originally? Maybe it's not the original t-case?
