Rear pinion oil seal

I took my truck for a little ride today and when I parked I had oil dripping out of the outter pinion oil seal. Seams like when it got hot oil came out. I'm thinking it could be a cloged up vent and it build presure and blew out the seal. What do you guys think? I'll check the vent and see. Whats it like changing the seal? Give me a little help.
