You might consider mounting an A-Frame on the rear instead of the front. This is the more common oil-field service truck location
Add a second bed mounted winch for the lifting. Mount pivot points directly tho the frame with sufficient gussetting to handle the projected load.
Anothre oil field practice is to put a roller assembly the full width of the bed to ease winching / dragging parts onto the bed. They look *well* used.
