I am planning to mount an A-Frame on the front of my 67 WM300. I am considering mounting the poles at the location of the tow hooks. Remove tow hooks, install heavy plate in tow hook bolt holes with clevis pin going horizontally through hole in reinforced pole ends, reinforcing plate underneath/inside frame extension, chains from poles to headache rack on flatbed.

Has anyone seen or used the tow hook location as a place for mounting? I have seen plenty of bent frames or frame extensions from A-Frames. What is best location for mounting and why? Thanks!
