How do you know if you have a broken axle on a FFPW?
My front short shaft was making a clunking noise when we pushed it to the shop garage door. The differential yoke would turn a bit then free spin when pushing it backwards. It did not spin at all going forward. The truck does not have lockers on it. I'm going to redo/rebuild the axle housing anyways and put in 4.89 gears as well. Sorry for the question I was just curios as I have never broken an axle on anything but my skateboard when I was young hahaha
