CDLs are suposed to be the same in all states because they are used for interstate hauling. A Class B license is for 26,001 and higher but not for tamdom Combination use, Class A is for all trucks including Combination Loads, Class C is for 26,000 and below. You get Air Brake, Hazardous Loads, Tanker(over 500 gals), Passenger Bus 16 and over,ect endorsements added to your licence. There might be other classifications also. Mark H.
