Steve Wataha of Rock Springs, WY has used VW bug sending units with good success. Unfortunately, I've lost the part number he gave me. You have to bend the float arm some to make it work and to get the sending unit to read in the proper resistance range (the VW unit has a broader resistance range). If I can find the part number, I'll post it here again.
