You arent gonna be able to do anything about getting better mileage on a V10. When you bought the V10 you put yourself in a class of people who do heavy pulling that dont want a diesel.At the time the V10 was first made it was designed to go against the Chevy 454 and I thnk it was Fords 460. The V10 did get better MPG then those 2 other engines but times have changed and the V10 is a dinosaur now.
Live with it or get rid of it!

PS - Interesting note the compression ratio of the V10 is less then the 360 allowing the V10 to run on the 87 octane gas where as the 360 will throw a big fit with the dredded Ping!
