The 218 engines are much easier to find than 230 engines if you aren't looking for the correct engine number. I don't know how hard it is to find the correct number for your WC-12, but I suspect that should be fairly easy too. I used a 218 in my old '49 Power Wagon for many years, and it had every bit as much power as the 230's used by others I trailed with. I now run another '49 Power Wagon, but it has a 265 flathead six - a bit more powerful than the standard 230.
