Years ago I remember reading an article about accents. The author of the article was some researcher type and had been studying accents around the country and how they change. This guy’s take was that a Deep South southern draw was actually the closest thing left to how English was spoken at the time of the colonies. He didn’t say it was exact he said it was the closest, so you could say Southerner’s speak a very close form proper English. Now if that’s true, no matter how it sounds they still wrote it properly. Writing that drivel of yours is insulting, but my opinions don’t count because I am a uneducated Southern white devil, the root of all evil in the country. If I was one of the minorities and complained, you’d be in BIG trouble.
