I found a local article about a firehouse museum that just opened in San Pedro, CA. I was surprised that the locals are rasiing $100K to pay this guy for a restored fire truck. Might give some hope for big cash for the restored fire trucks.

The full article can be found at the link.

"But the star exhibit no doubt will be the station’s 1923 Seagrave pumping engine, which served the Harbor Area until 1952.
It was salvaged and restored by Dave Larson of Verdi, Nev., who found the vehicle abandoned in 1988 in a field.
The engine will be on loan for a year at the new museum, where volunteers are hoping to raise the $100,000 needed to purchase it as a permanent exhibit"

Best Wishes
