I did not know there were stick electrodes expressly for this purpose. Tell us more about them, please....
Several times in my life I had the chance to buy a mag drill. I passed each time, and have to admit I never thought about this application. You would have to have a large enough flat spot on the engine for the thing to grab, but it is a neat idea.
I am about to rent one in the near future for a project I am doing. It will cost $70 for a day, and no shorter time period is available. None the less, it will do what it will do, and it is necessary.
Neat idea, and could be absolutely perfect for certain things.
