How did you break the stud.this gives you a idea as how hard it will be to remove the broken stud. most of the time if the stud broke comming out you need to drill it out & chase the threads with the right tap same for screwing the stud in & Hitting the bottom of the hole & breaking the stud off.
If the stud screwed in by hand all the way
& broke dew to over torque & you did not hit the bottom Most of the time it will come out easy.
If you Have a set of easy outs. DO NOT use them in a blind hole can cause more problems.
good Idea on this old stuff is to run a tap of the right size in the hole & a die nut on the studs & bolts. Make shure to use lube on the threads. And do not hit the bttom of the hole.
And see that the bolts nuts & studs go in by hand all the way.
I have been a machinist for
thirty plus years took out a bunch or broken studs & bolts.
If you are not shure of your self.
You may want to think about having a pro take it out for you may save a lot of trouble in the end.
