You've probably got it out by now but here's what I have done... Drilled a small pilot hole as close to dead center as possible (center punch to start) and as deep as the stud went, then used a wider drill bit (2 more stages) till I got close to the ID of the threads, then used an easy out to grab the remaining bolt and twist it out without damaging the block threads. I suggest a high quality tool, borrowed from a pro or purchased from the Snap-On truck. I've been lucky with this technique so far and don't have any horror stories & hope you don't either. Drilling loosened the stud and removed the stress (removed the center mass of the bolt) enough to free it up and remove it with an easy out. It does not look much like a stud after it's removed (it actually looks more like a heli-coil). Good luck and I tend to agree with others reagarding the coils, spend more time trying different things so you don't damage the threads & have to use one. Good Luck, it should be a snap!
