Twice in the last 2 weeks I've gone to hit the brakes in my '87 3/4 ton 4x4 Sub and they have felt like the engine was turned off/no booster (rock solid pedal and needing a TON of pressure to slow the truck). Both times I released the brakes, reapplied pressure and they were fine.

I think it's the booster, but I'm no expert. Any other opinions? Like I said, it's only happened two times in ~200 miles so it's a little hard to diagnose.

I would like to get them fixed before traveling over the high mountain passes on my way to Ouray. It was exciting enough when it happened coming up to a red light, I don't even want to think how exciting it would be if it happend going over Red Mountain pass!

Thanks in advance,
