Yes. Sorry, I have been on the run between MS, MO and MI for the last five days. I just got in last night and did not have a chance to respond.
Yes the compressor needs the cooling. At least, when the brake system is involved, I would not want to take a chance. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions.
