Ho Tom, The Gar-Wood company is the same as the boat mfr. The beds were actually made by the WOOD hoist division...I used to ski behind a nice mid 30s Gar Wood runabout when I was a kid at Lake Tahoe!! Gar-Wood made truck hoists, power shovels, winches, and other construction equipment!! Take care!
