Think from memory you had to use two gaskets to fit the larger third member both to ensure rear gear to housing clearence, and align the shafts in the center of the housing without stress. There can also be stud differences and I used copper water tube split down the side to center three or four of the studs. This technique saved locating stepped studs and changing each of them, it has worked for ten years at 55-62mph (4:30 ratio's). My 3/4 CC had the smaller studs ('42).
I too would look at the book, I have to id each member for 2 verses 4 pinion versions if I right. Fortunately with me, I'll work to get an answer before I send a part, I've also waited for those receiving parts to get them before paying to ensure they are satisfied. Guess I'm not a businessman in this matter, only a collector. Of course the wife has wondered exactly WHAT I'm collecting and why..... Regards WAW
