Yes it can be expensive, that's why I've lived with a "kinked' cable for 10 years now. It's about half way into the drum, I'd really have to unwind it to get to it. I don't use the Command Car for pulling junk too often, and her 4x4 days are waining, as I tend to hual VIP's like Gen Shelton, and Gov Hunt a couple of years ago. I can't play with the toy if she has to be in a parade as lead vehicle in a few days. Makes me want to buy a PW just to play with without cleaning up, ARGH!.
If you know your equipment and assess what you can do, you stay out of trouble. (hopefully) The cable I used came from the jump towers at Fort Bennig, Ga. OSHA rules governed there, and I could literally pick up the command car like the Jeep commercial, before it would consider breaking. This has gone WAY beyond the original question, but has been interesting if not gorry. Regards WAW
