In reference to your point #3, this is like one of those urban legends, everyone warns about it but nobody ever seems to have been hurt. Well, I know for a fact about this. About 10 years ago a man I knew was working for a farm fertilizer service driving what we call a "Big A". These are huge three wheel vehicles that spray fertilizer and herbicides. His Big A got stuck in muddy field and they attempted to pull it out with another Big A. The large 4" wide snatch strap was just short of reaching the stuck vehicle with the towing vehicle remaining on the road. They took a large chain and added it to the end of the strap and started jerking. The strap stretched, the chain snapped and came back through the windshield and literally took of the mans head. He was dead bfore the chain hit the ground. This all happen about 8-9 foot above the ground. It really does happen. People are maimed or killed.
