Take a straight-edge. Place it on the fender perpendicular to the centerline of the truck. See that the fender is FLAT for most of the distance from the body to the lip of the fender. It will be the same for all four fenders. That is a "flat-fender" POWER WAGON, civilian or military. If the fender is not flat in that one direction, you are looking at a "soft-fender" a truck that cannot knock down trees with its fenders. A "soft-fender" will crumple. Take the POWER WAGON emblems off the hood sides of a "flat-fender" and have someone look at it from a block away. They will know that they are looking at a real four-wheel-drive, in fact the only four-wheel-drive pick-up truck produced and marketed in the United States that did not come in a "girly-man" two-wheel-drive version. The other guys never had a real four-wheel-drive truck. They stuck four-wheel-drive components manufactured by (let's say it together, class) Dana/Spicer, the Chrysler guys, under their "soft-fenders", added sticky tape saying "Off-Road" or "4x4" and passed them off as real trucks. Power Wagons were the only real trucks and were available to real men until politicians going for the women's vote legislated them out of our lives. If you have a "flat-fender" you don't have to be humble or apologize. "FLAT FENDERS FOREVER!" "UUHHH! UUHHH!"
