If memory serves me correctly,I had to use a large
punch to knock the dowel pins down enough to get it apart.I can't remember if the pins were tapered or not and I'm not positive this is the correct way to get them apart,but thats how I did it. Be careful to do only one side at a time or mark the top& bottom because the manual says their machined as one unit,meaning the top right won't work w/the bottom left,etc.
