Add note: I have copied info from a late 50's early sixties book called "How To Build Your First Hotrod.
Among the items mentioned was cutting the head up to .030 to increase compression on these engines.
I have had heads cut that much and run them with no problem. Compression can go as high as 8.5:1
but I don't know about the long term effects on these wadded-up tinfoil bearings in these things.
Any input on that I'D appreciate.
