Well, Grant, your understanding of the transmission
seems much more advanced than mine, but if you haven't
already, go through the factory adjustment procedure:
Adjust/repair all the linkages' function esp. in relation
to the carb, then set the band adj. screws to what
ever excact specs are called for.
