Well, Mr R.Davis, it's clear that you're baiting, or else you don't understand axle ratios. Chrysler cars had rear ratios in the low to high 3's, and the engine rpm thresholds were the same as in the trucks. The car wheels merely turned faster. a thousand less pounds of steel also made a big difference. No flathead six EVER turned much over 3000-3500 rpm for long and lived to tell of it. Just can't be done. Now what do you say we quit the silliness and enjoy the nice resource that joe provided for us? If you have a beef with me, take it to email.
