Help!!! I am in the process of replacing my 1964 slant 6 with a mid 70's 318. This newer engine bell housing is aluminum and will not accommodate the original hydraulic clutch assembly or bolt to the 4 speed transmition. Do I need a 60s vintage V-8 bell housing ,starter and flywheel ??? I was told the 318 engine changed very little over the years, will the newer engine recieve the 60s bell housing without replacing the starter and flywheel.???
