J.B. Weld and stainless steel! I've never repaired one and if I was going to attempt it, that's what I would use. Take a grinder and slightly rough up the crack area so the J.B. Weld will adhere well. Use a stainless steel radiator hose clamp band cut ˝ longer than crack. Take the grinder and rough up one side of the stainless steel band and then form to shape of crack surface. The stainless will help control expansion to prevent further cracking and make a solid repair. Mix the J.B. Weld, apply to both radiator and hose clamp band and center crack in band. Use something to apply pressure on the band while it cures and use wax paper between what you’re using to prevent it from being welded. Follow directions on package for cure time.
