I sent an email to Michelin stating the ongoing demand for the XZL and asking for status on availability. Here is their response:
Thank you for visiting our Web site and sending us your e-mail.
The 9.00r16 XZL is discontinued.
The 11.00r16 XZL is still active but currently on national backorder.
The next shipment of tires is expected around the end of August or
first of
September.
