I just heard about the rod being used on the later models and was going to try to go that way. I think I will stay with the cable. I could make one up myself if I had the end. I have the crimping tool. Was going to look at my old ends and see if I could crimp a new cable in it. I have a 20 ton crimping tool that would do the job if I could drill out the old ones. I made a tempory cable all ready for it. My housing is OK and so were the ends. Mark H.
