I didn't see the post that was removed, so I don't know if there was anything offensive in it, but in general I would advise you not to feel bad about liking Dodge and non-Dodge vehicles.

Some people are loyal to Dodges, some are loyal to Fords, some are loyal to Chevy's. It all depends upon their experiences. I'm not loyal to any particular brand, as I've driven or known of a wide variety of vehicles over the years, all of which served me or other people very well.

I drive a Ford pickup with 200,000 miles on it...still runs well, with very little work needed so far. I've know others with much more than that.

I've also known people with Dodges who drove them for many, many miles with great satisfaction.

I've also known and driven Chevy's that lasted hundreds of thousands of miles. Just one example: A buddy of mine has an '89 3/4-ton 4x4 with 260,000 miles on the original engine and it runs well. He had to rebuild the tranny once, and he has had a number of small items go out on it, though.

By the same token, I've also known some owners of each of those brands, who have been dissatisfied with their vehicles.

I know this will ruffle a few feathers, but I have to say that brand loyalty is pretty over-rated, when it comes to cars and trucks. I've known people who were very disappointed after buying a vehicle made by the company they were loyal to.

I just hope my Power Wagon will keep running for the next few decades!

Matt
