Marty is full of it, we just aren't sure what "it" is! ha!ha! He must have a one of a kind powerjoke, because my (formerly mine) 7.3 terd would not go faster than 72mph empty! That is what the factory computer would hold it to. The rev limiter on the ferds is set at 3200 to 3400, you cannot go faster than that and that rpm equals 72 mph on the flat and level with 4:11 gears. It won't get out of the hole with any higher gear and it could not go faster than 72 empty, on the level, or DOWN a hill, OR over a clift, 72 was it. With a load (?) of only 4,000 lbs it couldn't go faster than 59 to 60 mph. My Cummins will cruise all day long with 10,000 lbs behind it at 80-85 mph.
I think Marty is using Canadian mph figures which are,...what,....62% off?? ha!ha!
