There was an off topic discussion on the last board about sears and their crappy electrical tools and how they try to rip you off when you break an expensive rachet and they try to replace it with a cheap one.
I called for a payoff on my Sears card. ALL my major appliances are Kenmore. They told nme and I sent a check. Next bill I got was for 46 cents and a $25 late fee. They diodn't tell me the bill was for $XXXX.46. I fought it, but they would not budge. The next month it was 46 cents and a $50 late fee. Ity mushroomed into hundreds of dollars because I refused to pay. Finally, a year and a half later, a Sears supervisor fixed it all up, but I had to mail a check for 46 cents. I cancelled my Sears card and have never been back. Though one of these days I need to replace a bunch of broken rachets.
