I don't think Gordon meant anything insulting towards other Power Wagon enthusiast by his remark as if you were somehow a second class PW Dodger.
I would think that when people like Gordon say serious enthusiast, it would encompass all the things you mentioned, plus I think it refers to those more seriously involved in those things. I like to think that longevity is a factor, not here today gone tomorrow.
My sister used to raise chows, good breeder, loves dogs and knew all about chows and dogs but, I loved my mute dog as much if not more than she loved her registered chows. She was considered a serious dog enthusiast but she always said she envied the close relationship I had with my dog So, if you love your PowerWagon, keep it running and plan to still own it when you pass away, you might be a serious enthusiast !
