rusty frame

My frame has a lot of rust under the cab where two members are riveted together. One person suggested taking them apart to remove the rust but I know how fun it is to rivet them back together. The frame is not that cherry to begin with. Am I better off trying to get a different frame or should I just get as much of it as I can and call it good enough. I started out with a 54 c1-pw that sat out in a junk yard in Wisconsin for who knows how long. Since then I've torn it all apart down to the last nut and bolt, sandblasted many parts. The front axle is all reassmbled with new bushings and seals. After completing the rear axle I was going to get them back on the frame. I hate to do this and then decide that a different frame should have been used. I need two doors, a second series box, and a gas tank. Should this truck just be used for parts or rebuilt to its former glory? Anybody else start to second guess themselves half way into a restore? Free therapy needed!
