I used to know a old machinest who passed away a few years ago at 97. He worked in a large garage where in the early days. Customers would drop off their car in the morning, get a complete engine rebuild, including crank grind 'in the car', and pick it up in the evening. Back then, things were simpler, a lot of room in the engine compartment to work, simple engines. The old machines must still be squirled away somewhere. Problem would be finding someone who also knew how to use it. I would love to watch a 8 hour total rebuild ha.
