These Optimas require a special charger don't they?

If so, that should be considered as part of the cost. Not too many of us have those nifty warning bells when we walk away from the truck with the lights still on. It sounds like the Optimas would drain out pretty fast.

When I replaced the battery in Bear, I just wheeled in the old battery to Kragen and they gave me one that fit and worked for about 60 bucks. I know I will be replacing it about every 5 - 7 years anyway. So in this case, I would stay with the old "cheap" technology. Easier to recharge and there won't be any tear stains on the pillow if the battery gets stolen.

Best Wishes
Lonnie
