This year I ordered a NV 4500HD conversion for my 92 W250 Cummins. I had to wait for their new batch from NVG, no big deal. Got tranny, it lasted 3000 miles. I sent it back, they told me all the nice stories about how much experience they had with these things and not to worry. Several calls later they tell me oh its just fine cant find anything wrong. They send it back. I bolt it in, still not happy with it, lots of movement in the stick, especially in 3rd and not very quiet. I call them back get a different sales rep cause mine is on vacation and get a totally different story from him on my tranny. First rep told me there was nothing wrong and that they reshimmed the thing. Second rep, told me they replaced the main input gear and a bunch of other parts that I don’t remember all with new HEAVY DUTY parts. I think they sent me a regular 4500 cause it was all they had instead of sending me what I ordered. I can’t prove it and I have a brand new 3k swap that I have no faith in on what’s supposed to be my daily driver. They patched it up so it’s now past the warranty and any more problems and I get to fix their crap again. Will say if I had to do over truck would have sat till I could have afforded a 6 speed or went with a Clarke.
