Finally found the owner of a small, older salvage yard at home today after two years of stopping by. You see, there had been an early sweptline W500 in the side yard at this establishment for a while and though it was missing today, I stopped anyway. Upon inquiring about the old beast, I was informed that it had not been sold, nor would he sell it or any of it's parts. He is going to cut it up and utilize the pieces to create a front-end loader. I politely smiled, told him it would be a very interesting project and quietly cried on the inside. Yes Britt, it has locking hubs and no, he will not part with them.
