I need you guys help?!!! What would cause a clattering noise in the top of the motor whan your under power on the flathead engine. I used my 1948 PW to pull our car trailer with our 1902 Holsman Autobuggy on board to a show this weekend. Every time I started up a hill I got a clatter in the top of the engine. Could this be valves, rod knock, blown piston, IDEAS anyone? Can the valves be adjusted? Darn thing probably hasn't had any adjustments in years. Engine oil pressure has not changed, doesn't burn oil, good compression, oil levels right,no blue smoke out of exhast, maybe I'm pushing the old girl to hard. She's all origional and I don't want to ruin the engine so what should I do? Thanks for the input.

Thanks,

Chris Becker
