Use a 4BT, otherwise known as a B3.9 in the newer trim...

You find them in things like Chevy/Freightliner P30 bread van chasis such as Entenmans Bakery and Frito Lay trucks. The Chevy's are repowered and the Freightliner's are original equipement in the trucks....

Sources of take out engines that I have heard good things about or have used myself are Neosho Truck Parts in Wisconsin, Avant Salvage in Georgia, The Foote in Mass. I know one guy who just got a lead on three good ones in Louisianna...
