Being in the brick hitting anything is not a good thing. Even if you are wearing a 5 point harness like a NASCAR driver. When the front bumper stops it's forward motion (IE: hitting another solid object). The rear bumper and everything inbtween in still traveling at the previous speed. Something has to give. If not the body and frame folding then your body absorbs the energy. In simple english it means your brain slams into your skull and your internal organs hit the belts at the speed you were originally traveling. Also remember two vehicles hitting head on at 35 mph each is the same as hitting a large tree at 70 MPH.
