I have a 1943 WC-63 with a 1943 DATED cab by the Highland Cab division of Fruehauf. I have seen others amde by several mfrs. It appears that since this one is dated they were used in WW2. There was a company in Seattle WA. that made them also. The nameplate reads: 'CAB, ARCTIC, TRUCK, 3/4 TON 4x4, DODGE'
They are difinitely short on interior room! I plan on removing it (as you can see it was used as a winch cable guide a few times!)
and I will install a canvas type arctic cab. This truck came directly from Alaska. It uses the existing windshield! The truck still has all the attachment points for the radiator and hood blankets as well as holes in the cowl for radiator hoses and heater/defroster!
