I'd check the routing of your fuel lines. Make sure they are not touching or real close to the exhaust manifold especially on your passenger side area. Also the line from the fuelpump/filter going up to your carb. Make sure its not touching anything also. They say an electric fuel pump will help also with vapor lock. And old trick I have seen done here in Kansas is to clip some wood clothes pins on the fuel line between the fuel pump and the carb. I am amazed you are having a vapor lock problem already. Only time I have ever seen a vapor lock was in serious summer heat like 105+ temps. Maybe I have been lucky. I use my 74 D200 440 to pull my John Deere tractor for mowing jobs in the summer and it does fine even in the extreme heat in July.


Is this a stock truck or have you done some things to it?
