Actually I do have a few drips on the WDX, but I used all the NOS leather seals & I far prefer them. It's very unusual to have one leak badly, but they do often weep. The rubber ones are great so long as you don't buy any of the crappie Chicago Rawhide single lip seals...they're garbage. Problem with the rubber seals is that once you damage one, the oil just pours out. The leather ones are extremely durable & never have I had one let me down. I can't say the same with the rubber seals. Leather seems like a better choice around the dust & dirt that off-road vehicles like ours get subjected to.
