Nope. This is my "good" deuce that I bought from the DRMO about 3 years ago, thankfully before Levy-Latham/Government-Liquidation took over, or I couldn't afford it. I've put 10,000 miles on it hauling stuff from my old home to new, and still have more to go. M35s weren't made for long freeway trips, and things are wearing pretty fast.

The one you remember was a 1952 Reo gasser that had once been a pole-setting truck. I towed it on the same route, then drove it the last 5 miles into its final resting place. I've never seen a rig so rusty. It sat in the woods near the coast for years. The body is completely shot except for the cab top. One rear diff is stripped, it has no electrical system, all the gages have been cannibalized, the glass is all broken, the frame was cut off in the rear, and all the pole-settings stuff was removed except for the rear winch. Everything underneath that isn't saturated with oil is total rust. I bought it for the front & rear winches and PTOs, tires, and spare drive-train parts. Unfortunately I didn't notice until after I paid the guy that the tires, while fairly new, are 10.00-20s, not the 9.00-20s normal on M35s, so I can't swap them onto my good truck like I thought I could. The engine runs so will probably sell it at some point. I tend to think I'll restore everything someday, but this one is too far gone.
