I think "stock" could be similar to an example of a belt pully. If someone installed a year correct belt pully on a truck that did not come with one, I'm OK with that. But if they cut corners and installed a belt pully and govenor from a ferd tractor because it was cheaper, then that would not be stock and would effect the "value" of the truck accordingly. If however the ferd belt pully was installed because the guy was still cutting wood with the truck and had no intention of passing it off as a restoration then that would be fine too. As for being scared to drive a totally stock truck, I wouldn't be, ...but I don't think that I'd follow John into the mud pit either! ha!ha!...excuse me a minute, Jock wants to borrow my keys???
