..it would seem that "restoration" should be exactly that. There is a differance in restoring and just "building". Altering frames and substituting parts because of cost is OK if you are building a daily driver to keep. Building one strictly to sell at a profit demands a higher standard and an honest effort to keep it completely original and unaltered. $20,000 would not be out of line for one restored in that manner, less than half that for one altered or assembled with aftermarket parts, seats, and "similar" parts.
