My buddy and I like to drive my 1941 WC10 to Big Bear each year (military vehicle meet - last one was this year) We gotta take make a four day weekend of it 'cause it's a bit over 700 miles one way. 'course the old stock half ton is a bit higher geared than the stock FFPW so we can go a little faster.
We don't talk much so the noise isn't a problem.
It does get a a bit warm east a Barstow and can be a bit chilly up on the Tehachapi.
